Offer to collect all bridal gifts from the wedding and transport them to their house (ask a groomsmen to help carry the heavy items). On the day of their return from their honeymoon, leave a gift basket or set up a dinner for two for them to enjoy on their arrival home. It’ll help them to avoid reality for a little longer and not have to worry about dinner or grocery shopping after getting back from a long trip.

Encourage your bride and friend to use you as a resource. Instead of simply asking, “What can I do?”, offer specifics. “Can I help you find a bridal veil? Would you like me to go shopping with you for accessories? Would you like me to make the table numbers for the reception?” You know what you can do to help, so offer it up! Help your friend by doing something specific instead of just asking to be assigned a task.

Ask each guest to send in their favorite recipe before the shower. Print the recipes together and create a booklet of recipes for each guest to take home with them. You could take it a step further by including all of the recipes that were included at the bridal shower as well, if they differ from the recipes that were given to you by the guests.
