Consider purchasing old
vintage cloth napkins from eBay or scouring thrift stores and
flea markets for the reception. You’ll recycle old napkins
that are no longer in use and provide a vintage chic feel for
the reception. You can opt to keep the napkins and reuse them
in another way, donate them back to a thrift store, or allow
guests to take them home with them as part of your wedding
favors.

There’s
a wonderful tool that’s out now
in the crafting/scrapbooking world called “The
Enveloper”.
It’s a tool that allows you to create any size envelope
with a square piece of paper. The beauty in this tool is
that you can use any kind of paper you want, allowing you
to recycle and reuse items for your envelopes. Some ideas
are old magazine ads, travel maps, vintage papers, old photography
calenders and more. You can find a variety of old magazines
or maps in thrift stores, allowing you to save a little extra
money and putting a little spin on your Save the Date cards
or your wedding invitations.
You could also wing it
with these DIY
instructions
on how to make your own recycled envelopes, sans nifty crafting
tool. |

If you’re not into
the idea of creating 200+ envelopes by yourself (or dragging your
bridesmaids into helping you), you can also consider just buying
some pretty cool looking recycled envelopes. These aren’t your
run-of-the-mill blank envelopes with recycled paper either – we’re
talking envelopes made from old maps, old school science books, or
old nature books. Check out these recycled envelopes from SUPERfantastico.
StartMotions also
has some cool envelopes made out of recycled maps, with the map on
the inside and a blank outside.
Other cool finds: “rockvelopes”
made from repurposed band flyers, or these “summer
breeze” envelopes
made from magazines and books.
Though, if you are just looking
for the regular, blank envelopes, you can find a variety here,
in different colors at ActionEnvelope! |
