Cost vs. Flavor...

Food takes up a lot of your wedding budget and for those on small budgets, the pinch is certainly felt.  While many of us want to serve food that is good and our guests will remember, sometimes a little rearranging is an order.  You'll want to keep the following budget curbs in mind when deciding on the menu for your wedding.  First thing would be the time of day, many restaurants and reception halls usually have cheaper menus for weddings that are held during the day.  Breakfast, brunch and dessert receptions will always cost less than a dinner reception, or you can choose to skip the dinner altogether and have a cocktail reception.  Alcohol will surely raise your budget automatically but it will most definitely be cheaper than a dinner reception.  If you have your heart set on dinner reception consider a mid-week wedding.  Nothing sounds more fun than a Wednesday evening wedding to break up the monotony of the work week, not too mention it will be unique and will probably have people talking about it weeks later.  The important thing is, to serve good food at an affordable cost.  One should never skimp on quality tasting food in favor of less quality for a cheaper price.
